Our underage camps are suitable for people of all abilities from 7 to 17 years old. We hold these 2-night camps at many fun campgrounds across Victoria providing adventure, social interaction and activities galore!
Tween Camps
Our tween camps are for children of all abilities from 8 to 13 years old. These overnight camps are held at a range of adventurous and fun camp locations across Victoria. Activities include ropes courses, laser tag, canoeing, arts and craft and toasting marshmallows by the campfire.
Over 18 Camps
Our adult camps are for people of all abilities, 18 years old and over. We hold these 2 or 3-night camps mostly on weekends and provide the opportunity for independence, exploration and connection with fellow campers. Create your own camp experience with a vast variety of activities available.
Small Group, Big Adventure
These camps provide the same adventurous, fun camping experience as our adult camps but with fewer participants. They deliver a more intimate experience for campers 18 years old and over.
Y Retreats
Unique weekends away for people of all abilities. They empower campers to have the choice and control over their weekend away. Y Retreat offers campers social connection, choice and control and the opportunity to develop their independent living skills.
Join Y Camp Journeys for the adventure of a lifetime!
We are passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to travel and experience active recreation, new experiences and the great outdoors. At the Y we specialise in person-centred, supported camping experiences that maximise fun and social connection.
We hold camps across Victoria, including 7 YMCA Campsites, with all planned activities that are accessible and inclusive, allowing everyone to participate in their own way and sharing the experience with others.
Our fun, exciting and unique camps provide participants with a sense of adventure and achievement. They promote independent living skills, social connection and connection with the wider community.
Each of our campsites offers different activities, so no two adventures are the same. Campers enjoy cooking programs, high-ropes courses, archery, summertime water-based activities, environmental programs, art and craft, and much more.
We are fun. We are different. We are social!

What our camps look like

What our campers are saying
It was a wonderful experience that [Louise] thoroughly enjoyed. Louise is talking about future escapes now! Special mention to Lucy from the YMCA who was the perfect hostess. Louise was so well cared for but equally important validated at every level. Many thanks for what you all do
I think has been one of Angelo’s most memorable trips. A big thank you to the team from YMCA that made this possible. Your itinerary was first class
Out of 10 I give it a 10 because of the activities that we did and in general the atmospheric balance was good. I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed it, “it was like mini explosions or happiness fireworks going off in my brain
Thank you so much! Tyler had such a grouse time still talks about it. Thank you for making his trip so enjoyable, all you guys are so down to earth and are beautiful people
Just wanted to share my sheer joy at receiving my girl back in the happiest mood ever! She has made some lovely new friends, is talking about needing to be more independent and desperate to get a job….wow, this is huge!
The whole experience left Brinley with some great memories that I am sure will stay with him for many years. Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved and congratulate them on a very successful [program].
Mike has not stopped talking about camp. We can see he is more confident, and we are so grateful he has had this opportunity.
Meghan had a great time and was especially proud of her achievements on the paddle board. I know what she’ll be doing over the summer break.
We just wanted to say thank you to you and to all the staff of the camps. Katrina has just loved being able to return to camping and meeting new people and old friends as well. She has enjoyed each of the three camps, and has come home saying what the best things were.
Yspace / camps have just been so rewarding for Robert being able to socialise and be safe with such a fantastic group of support workers and participants.
