WhiSKHA Teens & Young Adults

Overview

The WhiSKHA Teen & Young Adults program gives young people the opportunity to enjoy and experience the excitement of planned activities, develop skills, interact socially, achieve goals and meet personal challenges in a safe and stimulating environment.
The schedule of activities is a guide only. The schedule can be changed according to the needs, abilities and interests of the participants attending on the day.

Program details

Cost: $20 per person, per day (as well as hourly NDIS fees). Refer to the service agreement for details (minimum 7 hrs per day).

Time: Program opens at 8:30 am and closes at 5:00 pm

Eligibility

To enrol, a particpant must:

  • be aged between 13-24 years
  • currently hold an NDIS package or funding from other agency
  • have additional support needs
  • have up to date medical support plans (if applicable)
  • have experienced past or present difficulties/eligibility issues in accessing mainstream holiday programs.

What to bring

Appropriate footwear and clothing according to the weather and activities planned for the day.

Sufficient changes of clothes to last the day.

A sun-smart hat (we provide sunscreen).

Snacks, lunch and drinks labelled with participant’s name. Please ensure that all food and drink is nut free. We have a strict policy on maintaining a nut-free environment.

We recommend not bringing electronic devices to the program.

Please ensure your participant’s name is on all items. Although we do our best to ensure all belongings are returned home, any property brought to the program is at your own risk. 

We do not reimburse for any lost, stolen or damaged property.

Medication

Please give to staff any medication that the participant needs during the day. Do not leave medication in a child’s bag.

Medication must be supplied in a Webster-pak. 

Please discuss any food allergies or reactions, and medical conditions such as asthma, epilepsy or anaphylaxis with the Disability Services team.

Staff

Our experienced and qualified staff support the young people on a 1:3 basis, based on their needs. We can provide additional support staff for participants with higher support needs.

How to book

  1. Complete and email an application form via to holidayprogram@yinclusion.org.au.
  2. We will confirm enrolment before the program starts.
  3. Pay for the program to secure your booking.

Payment details

The daily program fee is $20 per person, per day. Additional NDIS fees apply and you must have an approved plan.

Participants are required to be on the program for a minimum of 7 hours per day.

Holiday Program out of pocket fee to be paid 2 weeks prior to program commencing (if invoiced separately)

You can make payments at the Inclusion Services Office (Shop 7, 41-53 Miller Street, Epping 3076).

Pick ups and drop offs outside program times- Additional NDIS fees will be applied when a person requiring support is picked up or dropped off outside the program times.
