WhiSKHA Child

The WhiSKHA Child program gives children the opportunity to enjoy and experience the excitement of planned activities, develop skills, interact socially, achieve goals and meet personal challenges in a safe and stimulating environment.

The schedule of activities is a guide only. The schedule can be changed according to the needs, abilities and interests of the children attending on the day.

We aim to accommodate as many people as possible on our excursions; however, due to limited bus seating, we may not be able to do so. In this case, some participants will remain on-site and take part in other fun and engaging activities or alternatively a support worker can be arranged to transport the participant to join the excursion. Where a support worker has been required to drive their vehicle additional transport cost will be incurred.

Cost: $20.00 per child, per day.
Cost will be invoiced as an out-of-pocket expense.
*NDIS hourly fees apply. Refer to the service agreement for details (minimum 7.5 hrs per day).

Time: Program opens at 8:30 am and closes at 5:00 pm

To enrol, a child must:

• Participant is aged between 5–12 years
• The participant currently holds an NDIS package or funding from other agency
• The participant has additional support needs
• The participant has up to date medical support plans (if applicable)
• The participant has experienced past or present difficulties/eligibility issues in accessing mainstream holiday programs.

Appropriate footwear and clothing according to the weather and activities planned for the day.

Sufficient changes of clothes to last the day.

A sun-smart hat (we provide sunscreen).

Snacks, lunch and drinks labelled with your child’s name. Please ensure that all food and drink does not contain any nut products. We have a strict policy on maintaining a nut-free environment.

We strongly recommend that your child does not bring electronic devices to the program.

Please ensure your child’s name is on all items. Although we do our best to ensure all belongings are returned home, any property brought to the program is at your own risk. 

We do not reimburse for any lost, stolen or damaged property.

Medication

Please give to staff any medication that your child needs during the day. Do not leave medication in a child’s bag.

Medication must be supplied in a Webster-pak.

Please discuss any food allergies or reactions, and medical conditions such as asthma, epilepsy or anaphylaxis with the Disability Services team.

Our experienced and qualified staff support the children on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis, based on the child’s needs. We can provide additional support staff for participants with higher support needs.

2. We will confirm enrolment before the program starts.
3. Pay for the program to secure your booking.

Participants are required to be on the program for a minimum of 7.5 hours per day.

Holiday Program out of pocket fee to be paid 2 weeks prior to programming (if invoiced separately)

You can make payments at the Inclusion Services Office (Westfield Plenty Valley, 415 McDonalds Rd, Mill Park VIC 3082).

Pick ups and drop offs outside program times- Additional NDIS fees will be applied when a person requiring support is picked up or dropped off outside the program times.
