Our WhiSKHA Days program is aimed at children aged 5-18 years with a mild-moderate disability. Participants are able to enjoy and experience a variety of activities, develop skills, interact socially, achieve goals and meet personal challenges in a safe and stimulating environment.
Our program schedule of excursions has been provided as a guide, but will remain flexible according to the needs, abilities and interests of the participants attending on the day.
Program times
Drop-off: 8:30am – 9:00am
Excursion departs: 9:00am sharp
Return to site: By 4:00pm
Pick-up: By 4:30pm
Excursions are subject to change depending on conditions on the day.
Y Community School

Program entrance is next to the front door of Y Leisure City at the rear carpark.
Use the rear carpark entrance — not the main Miller Street door. Look for the Y Leisure City signage.
The program is open to children and young people aged 5 to 18 years with a mild to moderate disability.
WhiSKHA Days is funded under Community Participation in your NDIS plan. Some activities have additional out-of-pocket costs.
The participant has up to date medical support plans (if applicable).
Each day is booked separately, choose the days that suit you.
Packing list for each day
A full water bottle and morning snacks. Lunch is not provided - please pack a lunch for your child. Strict NUT-FREE policy.
Closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. On water days, bring bathers, a towel and sunscreen.
Any required medication must be supplied in a Webster-Pak. Inform staff at drop-off of any medication needs.
Bring your Companion Card for free or discounted entry at participating venues, noted on specific activity days.
Small amount of cash or card for optional purchases like souvenirs or tuck shop items.
Valuables, expensive electronics or items that can't be replaced. The Y is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.

All WhiSKHA Days sessions are staffed by trained disability support workers and program leaders experienced in supporting young people with disabilities. Staff are present throughout the entire day — from drop-off through to pick-up — maintaining appropriate participant-to-staff ratios. All staff are police-checked and hold current first aid certifications.
Disability support hourly fees apply; refer to the Service Agreement for details (program runs for 8.5 hours per day).
Daily program fees need to be paid at the time of booking. These costs can vary from program to program based on the activities scheduled.

We are unable to provide refunds for non-attendance once a booking has been processed. Please choose your required days of enrolment carefully.
Any person who requires pick-up or drop-off times outside of the Program time can discuss with the Program Coordinator to arrange support for the participant; additional fees apply.
