Staying active is important for our physical and mental wellbeing, and Y Inclusion Services offers inclusive, all abilities Recreation programs designed to help everyone stay active and improve wellbeing.
Y Inclusion Services’ Recreation programs are dedicated to providing accessible and enjoyable activities for people of all abilities. These programs aim to foster a sense of community, improve physical health, and enhance overall wellbeing. Our programs are tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from staying active. We have qualified and friendly staff who can give 1:1 support in whatever activity you choose.

Inclusive
Programs are designed to be accessible to everyone, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
Variety
From team sports like WRAP Basketball to Gymnastics and Swimming lessons, Social group activities and Y Camps, there’s something for everyone.
Expert Guidance
Trained sports professionals and Disability Support Workers lead the programs, ensuring safe participation and effective exercise.

The Y’s Recreation programs include a mix of regular sessions, classes and special events held at The Y Leisure City. Our social groups with changing activities are held here and out in the community each week. Each program is designed to cater to various fitness levels and interests:
Regular Classes
Weekly classes that teach specific skills or sports, providing consistent exercise in sports such as WRAP Basketball, Access Swimming, Women only Swimming and Access Gymnastics. We also offer Senior Sports programs.
Special Events
Inclusive sports days and Adult and Childrens’ competitions that bring the community together.
Wellness Wednesdays
A weekly social support group focusing on holistic wellbeing, including physical activities like visits to the gym, Zumba and Boxing classes, Bowling, outdoor walks and excursions, all combined with healthy lunch options. Mental health support and social components work together to create a comprehensive and engaging experience for all participants.
