The Y Inclusion Services have a range of fun activities that are designed to help children and young adults develop new skills, build friendships, and grow their confidence. Our programs focus on ensuring every participant feels included, valued and supported to achieve their goals.

Safe and structured environment

Our primary goal is for our programs to support your goals.

We have designed our holiday programs to help children, teens and young adults reach their goals and align with each participant’s NDIS plans. The Y Whittlesea are a NDIS registered provider, experienced in disability and inclusion programs and care.

Building independence

A big part of the programs is helping participants become more independent. Children and young adults are encouraged to try out new things through different activities. They get to take on small challenges and build confidence over time. Participants get to learn new skills and make decisions on their own as they get experiences that help them grow and feel more self-sufficient.

Building social connections

The programs also focus on helping participants connect with others. Participants can improve their social skills and make new friends by working together in team activities and having fun with peers.

Reaching personal milestones

Every participant has their own personal goals, and Inclusion Services by the Y’s holiday programs help them take steps toward reaching them. Whether it’s learning something new or feeling more confident, these milestones are celebrated and are an important part of their journey.

The Y’s holiday programs are designed to be flexible, affordable, and easy to access. Here’s what you need to know:

Flexible support ratios

To make sure everyone gets the right amount of attention, the programs offer flexible support ratios. There are 1:1 (one staff member per participant) and 1:3 (one staff member for every three participants) programs. This way, every child or young adult gets the support they need to feel comfortable and confident.

Program duration and enrolment

The programs run for a minimum of 7 hours a day, giving kids and young adults plenty of time to engage in activities and learn new skills. Enrolment is simple, and Y staff are ready to help you every step of the way, making the process as easy as possible.
